Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 23 Dec. 1909. Local News columns.
Charles Ingstrom, who for the past thirty years or more has resided about Elkader, was taken sick Saturday night and died Sunday afternoon. Charley was a carpenter and worked about the neighborhood several years. For some time past he has worked for John Friend and it was there that he died. He was a harmless, good natured man and wronged nobody but himself. It is said that he was born in Sweden, but we have thought that he was a Dane. It is thought that he has no relatives in this country. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, Rev. Franke officiating. The interment was in the Elkader cemetery. Peace be with him.
