Carl Ernest Geuder passed away at his residence Thursday afternoon, at the age of 49 years, 2 months and 22 days. He was born in Guttenberg Oct. 24, 1860, and was married February 7, 1888. His departure is mourned by his wife, nine children, his aged mother, Mrs. Helena Geuder, and three sisters and two brothers, namely: Mrs. Wm. Beerman, Louis and Henry Geuder, residing in Guttenberg, and Mesdames Louis and John Vander-Hamm, of Ireton.
Mr. Geuder was a member of the Guttenberg Hardwood Sawmill Co. at the time of his death, and for many years was employed by Jos. Zimmerman as sawyer and also held that position with the firm of Zimmerman & Ives. In former years he was a man of strength and endurance. He was trustworthy and very attentive to his work, upright in his dealing and a kind husband and indulgent father and highly esteemed by all who knew him. He was a member of the M.W.A. fraternity.
The funeral will take place from his home on Bluff street, Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with services by Rev. J. Janzig. Interment will be in the City cemetery.
