Mrs. Wilhelmine Stroshen, of Volga township, died at her home Wednesday at 12 o'clock a.m. She was born April 18th, 1841, in Nangard, Germany. In 1875 she and her husband, with five children, came to this country and resided from the beginning in Volga township. Her husband died in 1902. The children are Bertha, married to Henry Schultz, of Saratoga county, Iowa; Minni, married to John Schael, of Jefferson township; Johanna, married to Geo. Albers, of Cerro Gordo county, Ia.; and Gottlieb, William and Henry. Mrs. Stroshen was a kind hearted lady. Although weak for a number of years, she kept house for her boys until last Tuesday, when she became very weak. The boys did all they could for her, but the hour had come in which she had to pay her tribute to death. She was a very good and faithful member of her church. On Saturday she was buried at the Lutheran cemetery, Rev. F. Linnenbuerger officiating. Besides her six children she leaves two brothers and one sister, besides thirteen grandchildren, to mourn her loss. Her age was sixty years, four months and seven days.
