Mrs. Susanna Keilholtz, daughter of James and Susanna Wells, was born in Wayne Co., Ohio, Oct. 4th, 1827, and died after a lingering illness of several months at her home in Volga, July 29th, 1909. She was united in marriage with Samuel Keiholtz, Aug. 30th, 1846, at East Liberty, Logan County, Ohio. Seven children were born to them, four of whom, with their father, have preceded her in death. Three children survive, William, of Stockton, Kansas, and Hamilton and Eunice, of Volga, besides seven grandchildren, to mourn the loving mother and grandmother. All that loving hand could do was done to alleviate her suffering. Services were held in the M.E. church Sunday morning, conducted by Rev. Tipton, assisted by Rev. Douglass, of the Presbyterian church. Interment at the Volga City cemetery.
