August Weidow was born in Garnavillo township, January 13th, 1853. Most of his life was spent on the farm with his parents. In 1895 his father died and he then lived with his mother until she died in the year 1901. He then moved to Garnavillo and lived with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Blunk, until his death, which occurred Monday evening. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 13th. He leaves to survive his death, one sister and four brothers, namely: Mrs. Caroline Kramer, Talmadge, Neb.; John and Herman, Clermont; Ferdinand, Ossian; and William, of Emmettsburg.
