Mrs. Wilhelmina Blunk nee Weedow was born the 29th of November at Leosow, Mecklenberg Schwerin. She was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with Henry Schafe in October 1868. To this union twelve children were born, nine of whom survive her. The names of the children are as follows: Henry, of Winnesheik Co.; John, of Allamakee Co.; Fred, of McGregor; Mrs. Sophia Succow, of Clermont; Lewis, of Colorado; Wm., Geo., Albert and Chas. On February 16th, 1903, she was again united in marriage to Wm. Blunk of this city. She died April 17th at the age of 58 years, 4 months and 18 days. She is survived by nine children, five brothers, one sister and sixteen grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church Monday afternoon. Interment in the new cemetery.
