Joseph Peikert, a pioneer settler of McGregor, and the father of Rev. Father Peikert, of St. Joseph's College, Dubuque, died Monday at his home in McGregor at the age of 79 years. The funeral was held this morning, Rev. Father Reilley, of this place, being the celebrant.
