Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 25 Feb. 1909. Summit Hill column.

The sad intelligence was received by the friends and relatives of Wm. Adney of his having met his death by an falling tree striking him while he was chopping wood near Beulah. He was brought back to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Adney, near McGregor, where his funeral was held Tuesday morning at ten o'clock. The bereaved ones have our sympathy.
