Funeral Services were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 in the Sacred Heart church in Volga City for Joseph D. Molumby, who died Sunday, Nov. 18. The Rev. Father Cregan officiated at the service in the church and at the graveside in the Volga cemetery.
Joseph D. Molumby was born on a farm in Highland township, Fayette county, on April 2_, 1865, and had reached the age of 69 years, six months and 17 days at the time of his death.
March 18, 1888, he was united in marriage with Anna Freeman. She died Nov. 16, 1__1, Later he married Mrs. Mary Beaman, and she, together with three children of his first marriage, survives, as follows: _r. L. F. Molumby, West Union; Walter K. Molumby, Dickens, Iowa; and Mrs. Esther Raftus of Wadena. Besides these he leaves one sister, Mrs. _. B. Glennon of Volga City, and one brother, Arthur Molumby, of Madison, S.D., besides a host of other relatives and friends.
The deceased spent practically his entire life in the vicinity of Volga City.
