Louis Reinke, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Reinke, was born in Clayton Centre, Iowa, on March _, 1870, and died at his home in Elkader Sunday morning at 4:30 at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 17 days.
His health had been failing for the past two years and he had been confined to his home for three weeks suffering from heart trouble.
He had always lived in or near Elkader, with the exception of a few years spent in Lewiston, Mich.
On Sept. 7, 1910 he was united in marriage to Julia Russell of Elkader, who died Nov. 1, 1914.
In 1915 he was married to Mrs. Marie Shierholtz of Garber, who died Dec. 3, 1932.
He is survived by one brother, Geo. Reinke of Kansas City, Mo., five half-brothers, John and Henry Barghahn of Elkader, Charles of Glendale, Calif., William of Madison, Wis., and Ben of Goshen, Indiana.
His parents, two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held in the Evangelical church here Tuesday afternoon with burial in the East Side cemetery. The Rev. M. J. Harder of Garnavillo officiated.
