Strawberry Point: Mrs. A. J. Malone received the sad message stating that her sister-in-law, Mrs. Ann Wiltse, a former resident of this place, passed away at the home of her daughter in Long Beach, Cal., Dec. 29, after a illness of about thirty minutes.

Mrs. Wiltse, nee Anna Grannis, was born at Dunkirk, New York, August 15, 1854, and came to Strawberry Point, Iowa, when a young girl. She received her education here and taught school in Clayton county. She was united in marriage to Charles L. Wiltse on Oct. 9, 1872, at Strawberry Point, where they resided until 1891, when they moved to northwestern Iowa. In 1904 they moved to the Province of Alberta, Canada, and later to Eugene, Oregon, where Mr. Wiltse passed away, Dec. 1_, 1924. One son and one daughter also preceded their parents in death.

Surviving are five daughters and three sons: Mrs. J. F. (Delia) Rodney of Abilene, Kansas; Mrs. C. C. (Loretta) Schwingle of McAllen, Texas; Mrs. William (Leta) Dillon of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Ray (L__a Belle) Cramer and Mrs. Donna ___stone of Long Beach, Calif.; Lynn Wiltse of Rich, Oregon; Harrison Wiltse and Fred Wiltse of Alberta, Canada.

The body arrived Saturday morning and the funeral services were held at the Malone home at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Thomas J. Elwick, pastor of the Methodist church. Interment was made in the family lot of the Strawberry Point cemetery.

Mrs. J. F. Rodney of Abilene, Kansas, who came Thursday afternoon, was the only one of the children who came to attend the funeral of her mother.
