Elkader Register, Thur., 09 Nov. 1905. Guttenberg column.

Mrs. Barton, aged 74 years, passed away at her home on the farm between Elkport and Osteerdock, Monday afternoon. She had for some time previous been a sufferer from dropsy, which was the cause of her death. The remains were brought here for burial in the City cemetery. Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran church at 2:00 o'clock p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Janzig officiating.
