Elkader Register, Thur., 21 Sept. 1905.

After a lingering illness, E. A. Bush, the well known merchant at Osterdock, passed away on Sunday last. He was a son of Warren and Christine Bush, who came to Iowa from Pennsylvania in 1857. E. A. was born Oct. 14th, 1850, and was nearly 55 years of age at his demise. He leaves two children, a son and daughter by his first wife, and three by the wife who survives him. Mr. Bush has been connected with the mercantile business at Osterdock for nearly forty years, and was a genial companion, and a beloved husband and father. He had a host of friends in the county, who will regret his departure.

The funeral was held Wednesday under the auspices of the Odd Fellows lodge at Osterdock, of which deceased was a prominent member.
