Elkader Register, Thur., 27 July 1905. Littleport column.

Mrs. Henry Mass died on the 18th inst., after a lingering and very painful siege of gangrene. She was 73 years of age and leaves a husband and two sisters to mourn for her. The funeral was held Thursday, Rev. Hertel officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the Littleport cemetery, near which she resided.

Correct surname is MOSS. Sophia & her husband Henry Moss have a gravestone in Union cemetery.
