H. Miller died at the County Home on April 27th, at the age of 75 years. He was familiarly known as "Butcher Miller," and was at one time a resident of Elkader, when his wife died. He then went to Guttenberg, where for fifteen years he followed his trade. He leaves three sons, J. C. Miller, of Littleport, and two at Portland, Ore.

Henry Miller, aged 82 years, died at the Poor Farm Friday. He was a native of Prussia and has been an inmate of the county home for 15 years. He was a butcher by trade but his family being broken up by the death of his wife, his only son who lives at Littleport, was adopted and brought up by another family and Miller led an aimless life which eventually made him a county charge.Interment was at the county home.
