The death of Mrs. Carnicle occurred at her home last Saturday morning after a short illness. Funeral services occurred Tuesday, Rev. DePuy officiating. She leaves several children to mourn the loss of a kind mother.

On Tuesday March 6th, 1905, at her late residence northeast of Strawberry Point, occurred the funeral of Mrs. Sylvia A. Carnicle.
Mrs. Carnicle was born on the 2d day of November, 1844. On the 25th day of January, 1875, she was united in marriage to Mr. Jacob Carnicle with whom she lived happily until her death. She had not been in good health for some time, and the end came peacefully March 5th, 1905.
Four children with the husband and many relatives and friends are left to mourn her loss. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. O.C. DePuy on Tuesday, and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Cox Creek.
