Elkader Register, Thur., 02 Mar. 1905. Farmersburg column.

Died - At the home of her daghter, Mrs. Nicholas Nicks, 20_3 Jackson street, Dubuque, Mrs. James Connors, aged 53 years. She had gone to Dubuque to care for her daughter, who was ill, and was taken sick herself and passed away Sunday. The body was brought to this place on the train Wednesday and taken to her home in Wagner township. The funeral was held Thursday morning at the Catholic church in Monona. She is survived by her husband, four sons, two daughters, three sisters and two brothers. She was a loving mother, a good neighbor, beloved and esteemed by all who knew her. The family have the sympathy of all in this, their bereavement.

(Note: WPA records indicate Ellen Conners, 1852 - 26 Feb. 1905, buried in St. Patrick's cemetery, Monona)
