Gertrude, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Melary, of this township, died Friday evening, March 18th, at the home of her grandfather, P. Donahue, in Read township. She was about eight years of age. She was attacked by congestion of the lungs and although everything was done that loving hearts could do she was taken. Her demise is a great blow not only to her parents and friends, but to the aged grandfather with whom she had made her home for the past five years. The funeral was held Sunday at St. Joseph's church.
