Elkader Register, Thur., 28 Jan. 1904. Guttenberg column.

Herbert W. Kann, the ten-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Kann, died at Glenwood and was brought home for burial Tuesday. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery, Rev. Father Brinkman officiating. The cause of death was acute gastroenteritis. The child was taken to Glenwood about two years ago for treatment, but death eventually resulted.
