Elkader Register, Thur., 04 Dec. 1902. Strawberry Point columns.

The death of Mrs. McClain occurred at her home Friday from pneumonia. Funeral services were held Sunday forenoon conducted by Rev. C. C. DuPuy. Besides children she leaves many friends to mourn her death.

The Noble cemetery burial list includes Matilda (Stalnaker) McLane, d. 11/25/1902. The 'M' middle initial in the death record likely is for Matilda, which is shown on her & husband William's gravestone.
