The death of Mrs. White occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jas. Ball at Oelwein. The remains were brought here Friday and the funeral service was held at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Blake, Saturday morning, Rev. O. C. DePuy delivering the prayer.

On Saturday, Nov. 1, at Strawberry Point were held the funeral services of Mrs. Lydia A. White, of Oelwein, Ia. The deceased was formerly a resident of this place and was well known to most of the people.
Mrs. White was born March 28, 1819 in Chautauque Co. N.Y., and was married in Jan. 1842 to A.D. White of the same place.
They came west and settled near Strawberry Point in the spring of 1850 and have resided in this part of the state most of the time since then.
She died at Oelwein, Oct. 30, 1902, aged 83 years, 7 months and 2 days.
Mrs. White was a sister of G.L. Tremain, of Humboldt, Ia., who with the husband and one daughter, Mrs. K.C. Ball, and many relatives and friends remain to mourn her loss.
The services took place from the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Blake, Rev. O.C. DePuy officiating.
