ZITTERGRUEN SERVICES ON THIS FRIDAY
_______Aged Resident of the community Dies Tuesday

_______Funeral services will be held on Friday for Mrs. Caroline Zittergruen, resident of the community since 1869, who died on Tuesday at 1:20 p. m., following a long illness.
The services will be held from the Immanuel Lutheran church at Elkport with burial in the Mt. Harmony cemetery in charge of the Tuecke funeral home.
The services will be conducted by Rev. W. G. Weber, pastor of Immanuel church.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brandenburg, Mrs. Zittergruen was born November 8, 1865, in Germany. She was brought to this country by her parents at the age of four.
On March 14, 1883, she was married to Charles Zittergruen at Garnavillo. Mr. Zittergruen died in 1940.
Mrs. Zittergruen is survived by seven sons and two daughters, Emil J. of Garber, Louis of Guttenberg, Mrs. Adam Thein, Guttenberg, Mrs. Romanda Nichols, William J. of Garber, Edward of Guttenberg, Arnold of Garber and Elmer of Lawton, Oklahoma.
Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

ZITTERGRUEN SERVICES HELD
_______Long Time Resident of Community Passes
_______Funeral services were held at Immanuel Lutheran church of Elkport last Friday for Mrs. Caroline Zittergruen who died November 1 after a long illness. Mrs. Zittergruen would have been 84 years old on November 8 of this year.
The services were conducted by Rev. W. G. Weber, pastor of the church, and burial was in the Mt. Harmony cemetery in charge of the Tuecke funeral home of Guttenberg.
Born in Germany, November 8, 1865, Mrs. Zittergruen was brought to this country by her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brandenburg. On March 14, 1883, she was married to Charles Zittergruen who died in 1940.
Mrs. Zittergruen is survived by seven sons and two daughters, Charles of Garber, Emil J. of Garber, Louis of Guttenberg, Mrs. Lucena Thein, Mrs. Romanda Nichols, William J. of Garber, Edward of Guttenberg, Arnold of Garber and Elmer of Lawton, Oklahoma.
Twenty-six grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren also survive.
