LOUIS MILLER SERVICES HELD THIS TUESDAY
_______Lifelong Resident of This Community Dies
_______SON SURVIVES
_______Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from St. John Lutheran church for Louis Miller, 84, who died last Saturday at his home here following a long illness. The services were in charge of Rev. S. M. Becker, pastor of the church, and burial was in City Cemetery.
Born in Jefferson Township
Pallbearers for the services were Carl Biederman, Andy Moser, Elmer Schroeder, Emmett Rademacher, Matt Duwe and Fred Ferris.
Born on a farm in Jefferson township, November 1, 1858, Mr. Miller was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dietrich Miller, early day residents of the community. On November 8, 1882, he married Lydia Anderegg and the couple lived on a farm in this community until a number of years ago when they retired and moved to Guttenberg.
Mr. Miller had been a lifelong resident of Jefferson township.
Wife Died in 1931
Mrs. Miller died in 1931 and he also was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Alma Johnson, who died in 1926. Surviving are his son, Herman, who lives near Guttenberg; a brother, John, of Guttenberg; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
