Elkader Register, Thur., 18 Sept. 1902. Strawberry Point column.

The death of F. Klebbe occurred Sunday from cancer of the stomach. He has been suffering for some time with the dread disease but bore his suffering patiently. He leaves a wife, four children besides numerous relatives and friends to mourn his death. Deceased was an honest man in all his dealings and gained many friends where ever he went. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Rev. Fuehr officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the St. Sebald cemetery. Our sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones in their hour of sorrow.

Note: Name on gravestone is "Ludwig Klebbe", he might have gone by a middlename, or the obit mis-named him.
