Murder in Clayton Co.
Democrat:—Murder, perhaps in the first degree, was committed in Cox Creek township, this county, on the farm of Aug. Heiden, Jr., near Osborne. Geo. Luscke, Mathias Marzdel and a companion occupied a shanty, and had been working together grubbing. On Sunday evening the latter had retired and the two former were quarreling over 50 cents when Lusche shot Marzdel through the heart with a revolver, killing him almost instantly, after which he fled and at this writing has not been heard from although the officers are on his track. It appears the three had bought a keg of beer and had been drinking.
