Shirley A. Connor, 91, of Monona, Iowa died Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Great River Care Center in McGregor, Iowa.

She was born April 23, 1929 to William and Frances (Rolfes) Hoefer in Petersburg, Iowa. Shirley graduated from high school and was united in marriage with Eugene Connor on January 26, 1955 at St Joseph Catholic Church, Garnavillo, Iowa.

Surviving Shirley are her children, Paul (Linda) Connor of Galena, Illinois, Patrick Connor of Davenport, Iowa, Steven (Virginette) Connor of DeWitt, Iowa, Darlene Simon of Dyersville, Iowa, Joseph (Peggy) Connor of Farmersburg, Iowa, Lisa (Tim) Donlon of Monona, Iowa and Milo (Donna) Connor of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; twenty-seven grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, William and Frances Hoefer; husband, Eugene Connor in 1999; daughters, Patricia Connor and Mary Kay Connor; son-in-law, Roger Simon; and her siblings, Wilhelmina Hoefer, Bernice Schilling, William Hoefer, Anna Mae Tauke and Francis Tauke.

There will be a private Mass of Christian Burial held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona, Iowa with Rev. Chris Podhajsky as the celebrant.

Inurnment will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Elkader, Iowa.
