George E. Peterson, 91, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of McGregor and Marquette, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, in a Poplar Bluff nursing home. Funeral services and burial were in Doniphan, Mo.

Mr. Peterson was a switchman for the Milwaukee Road for 30 years. He was a 50-year member of the McGregor Masonic Lodge.

He was born Aug. 26, 1888, at Chippewa Falls, Wis.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Charles H. (Louisa May "Ping") Ritz of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.

His wife, the former Anna May Baylis, died in 1937.
