Elkader Register, Thur., 01 May 1902. Monona column.

Grandma Slitor, who made her home with her son Ed, in Monona, for so many years, but who has lived with her daughter, Mrs. James Fonda, at Bellvue, for the past year, passed away April 19th. Mrs. Slitor was past ninety years of age. Funeral services were held here on Tuesday, April 22nd, and interment made in the Monona cemetery, Rev. Leamon conducting the services.

(Note: WPA records indicate Jane S. Slitor, 1809 - 1902, buried in the Monona cemetery.)
