Krambeer, Dorothea 1819 - 1902

Last Saturday, at the home of John Krambeer north of town, occurred the death of his mother, Mrs. Krambeer. She was a member of the Lutheran church and a good Christian woman. Her many relatives and friends have the heart-felt sympathy of the entire community. She was 82 years old and had been sick for the past two years, so although they can not help nursing and grieving for her, they should remember that she has gone to a better home where there will be no more pain. The relatives and friends met at the house for a short service and then went to the M.E. church at Luana where Rev. Apple preached the funeral service, the procession then went to Clayton Center where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, who went before.

(Note: WPA records indicate Dorothea Krambeer, 1819 - 05 Apr. 1902, buried in Clayton Center cemetery.)
