Elkader Register, Thur., 27 Mar. 1902. Bailey Ridge column.

Sunday morning the sad news passed from lip to lip that Marion Voshell had departed this life. He was sick only a few days with pneumonia. He grew to manhood among us and was liked and respected by all. He leaves a wife and children besides a father and several brothers and sisters to mourn his death. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.

Note: Burial is in the Taylorsville cemetery, Fayette co. IA
