The NEWS takes pleasure in congratulating S. Weir, three bran new babies arrived at his home this morning, two boys and a girl.
~McGregor News, Wednesday, July 31, 1901

Notes: Unknown why the father was called S. Weir in the birth announcement - he possibly went by a middle initial. Clara's parents were Ithiel & Christine (Tweet) Weir. Baptism records of the Big Canoe Lutheran church (Winneshiek co.) record the 4/17/1902 baptisms of her brothers Clayton Joseph Weir and Clifton Rufus Weir, both born 7/31/1901, parents Ithiel Weir and Kristine F. Anfinson. Clara's burial place is not confirmed, possibly in Pleasant Grove, McGregor where her paternal grandparents are buried; or she may be buried in/near Lansing or Harper's Ferry, Allamakee county where her parents were born.
