Mrs. John W. Cook died in the hospital at Sioux City on New Year's Day, and was brought here for burial beside her father and mother, Fred Richards and wife. She was forty-two years of age and has lived in Chamberlain, S.D., since her marriage to Dr. J. W. Cook, in 1883. She leaves two sisters and three brothers to mourn her death. Fred, of this place, and Chas. P. Richards and wife, of Chadron, Neb., being present at the funeral, which was held in the Congregational church Monday morning.
