Elkader Register, Thur., 02 Jan. 1902.

Life and death, bringing mingled joy and sorrow, came with the close of the year to the Lenth family in Read twp., Tuesday. In the afternoon a little girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lenth and in the evening occurred the death of Fred Lenth. Mr. Lenth was about 73 years old and had long been a resident of the county. The funeral will be held at Clayton Center Friday morning. Argus.
