Elkader Register, Thur., 25 Sept. 1879. Garnavillo column.

Mrs. Brandt, wife of Farmer Brandt (as he is familiarly known), living west of town, died on the 18th, of paralysis. She had a paralytic stroke some time ago, but lingered until last week. The funeral occurred on Saturday and was largely attended, one hundred teams being in the procession. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Behle.
