Elkader Register, Thur., 10 July 1879. Strawberry Point column.

There is some excitement here over the suicide of Miss Mina Bruegmann who lives in Lodomillo township, 4 miles from town. She died on Sunday evening. The cause of her suicide is not known. Coroner Penfield was summoned and held an inquest Monday. The following named gentlemen were summoned as jurymen, D. B. Bedient Abram Treadwell and E. L. Jager, who returned the following verdict: State of Iowa, Clayton County: At an inquisition holden at the residence of John Bruegmann, Lodomillo township, Clayton county, on the 7th day of July, 1879, before Wm. A. Penfield, coroner of said county, upon the body of Mina Bruegmann, there lying dead, by the jurors upon oath do say, after having heard the evidence and examined said body, we do find that the deceased came to her death by taking poison.
