Elkader Register, Thur., 19 June 1879.

DIED- At the residence of James Varley, in this township, on Wednesday, June 18th, at 7 o'clock a.m., of Bright's disease. Lewis A. Shippee, aged 22 years, 3 months and 4 days.

The deceased was a son of Mrs. James Varley. He was an honest, upright young man, and universally respected by all who knew him. The funeral occurred this morning at 10 o'clock, from his late home.
