Elkader Register, Thur., 29 May 1879.

DIED- At the home of his parents, in Elk township, Thursday, May 22nd, 1879, of spasms, Samuel, son of G. and Mary Ann Lewis, aged 31 years.

The deceased has been sick for a number of years, but not serious, of which he had ____ ____ _______, and died in a few hours. Samuel was an honest and upright young man. Elder Marsh preached the funeral sermon.
