Elkader Register, Thur., 27 Mar. 1879.

DIED - At the family residence in Mallory township, Clayton county, Iowa, March 18th, 1879, of pneumonia, Mary Jane, wife of Jacob Hansel, aged 54 years, _ months and 18 days.

An exemplary Christian, a devoted wife and an affectionate mother, and loved and respected by all who knew her. She leaves a husband and eight children to mourn her loss.

Note: Burial is in Bethel cemetery
