Elkader Register, Thur., 23 Jan. 1879.

DIED - Near Elkport, Jan. 17th, Samuel Freeman, aged 47 years.

He had been working for the past 2 years at Beddows sawmill, and proved himself worthy of the confidence and esteem of his many friends. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn the loss of husband and father.
