Elkader Register, Thur., 02 Jan. 1879.

Franz Moli, a wealthy bachelor who has lived for many years about half way between here and McGregor in a sod or earth banked house, died last Friday at the residence of Arndt Miller. His sickness was of short duration, and his death unexpected. A large concourse of friends and neighbors followed the remains to their last resting place in the Clayton Center Cemetery. He was reputed to be quite wealthy.
