The sad message of the death of our esteemed friend O. R. Perkins on Wednesday morning came as a shock to the many friends of the deceased. He was taken sick on Tuesday noon, Aug. 17th, and passed away at 8 o’clock Wednesday morning, and was laid at rest at Luana, Ia. Mr. Perkins had reached the age of 69 years, and had spent the last 3˝ years at this place, running the barber shop and making his home with Mr. and Mrs. John Martin. He leaves to mourn his death, two sisters in Iowa and a host of friends.
