Elkader Register, Thur., 29 June 1899. McGregor column.

Raymond, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Kicherer, died last Thursday after a weeks illness.

Again deaths angel has been in our midst, this time carrying away little Raymond Kicherer, whose spirit fled about noon Friday. Rev. Marshall held a short but impressive funeral service at the residence Sunday afternoon after which all that remained of a sweet child was laid to rest in Oakland cemetery.

Although he had been with them but a short time his place had been made in his parents hearts and an aching void is left.

The NEWS joins with many friends in tendering the bereaved their sympathy. Mr. and Mrs. Kicherer thank all who who took such an interest and did what they could to help.

The North Iowa Times, 6/29/1899, also published a brief obit, essentially the same as those above, except stating the child was 10 mo. old.
