Elkader Register, Thur., 29 June 1899. Littleport column.

Wm. Boyd buried a daughter fourteen years old last Monday. She had been ailing for some time but at the time of her death it came rather unexpectedly. The funeral was held Monday, Rev. Bixby officiating and the remains laid to rest in the Cox Creek cemetery. The sympathy of all goes out to the sorrowing family.

Note: Maud E. Boyd is buried in the Ross cemetery, Cox Creek. Her dates: 19 Dec 1885 - 02 Jun 1898. She was d/o Wilbert Boyd and Emma Easton
