Elkader Register, Thur., 11 May 1899. Osterdock column.

DIED- At the residence of her son on Sunday, May 7th, Mrs. I. Finnigan, at the age of 97 years. She was buried in the Garnavillo cemetery.

This is very likely Margaret Finnegan with burial place in St. Joseph's Catholic cemetery, Garnavillo.

Ancestry database "Iowa Deaths and Burials": Margaret Finnegan, age 102, born 1797, died Mallory twp. on 5/7/1899, burial Garnavillo.

She appears in the census over the years, widowed, living with at least one of her sons. Her age (DOB) varies with each census. enumeration.
