Carl Zittergruen, one of the old settlers of Volga Twp., died at the home of his son Charles, Wednesday, March 22, 1899, aged 74 years. Mr. Zittergruen came to Clayton county 30 years ago and settled on the farm now owned by his son. He was a hard working, honest man. The funeral took place Saturday and was very largely attended. Rev. Fritschel officiated. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.
