Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Feb. 1899. Local News columns.

Mrs. Frank Hagensick, of Giard twp., was buried at Monona Tuesday. Deceased was a daughter of the late Thos. Connell of Read twp., and a cousin of Mrs. M. Fitzpatrick of this place.

Speculation: Martin may have been newborn son of Mary Ann because of her cause of death. Both Mary Ann & Martin may be buried in Council Hill cemetery. I couldn't find an obit for her in the McGregor or Monona papers & the obit of her husband Frank mentions only his 2nd wife Ida, who he married in 1899.
