Elkader Register, Thur., 02 Feb. 1899. McGregor column.

Fred Pohlman, aged about 70, died Wednesday at his home just out of town on the Giard road. He was an old settler in these parts and was a highly respected citizen. He leaves a wife, two sons, Will and Charlie, and two daughters, Mrs. James Edward, of McGregor, and Mrs. Louisa Marpy, of Albert Lea, Minn. The funeral will be held Friday.
