Funeral services were held Monday Dec. 2, at the Marion church at Gunder, for Christ L. Nelson, Rev. J. S. Strandjord officiating.

Mr. Nelson passed away at his home near Gunder, Nov. 29, at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 15 days, the cause of his death being bronchitis.

Mr. Nelson was born in Norway in 1868. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. When twelve years of age he came with his parents to Clayton county, where he spent the greater part of his life. In 1893 he was united in marriage to Carrie Kittleson. To this union was born seven children. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, two sons, Edward, of Postville; Clarence, of Gunder, and five daughters, Mrs. Peter Madison, of Blooming Prairie, Minn.; Mrs. Martin Halverson, Mrs. Alfred Martie, Mrs. Walter Martie, all of Postville, and Mary at home and one brother, Nels Larson, of Clermont; two sisters, Mrs. Ole Christianson of Gunder, and Mrs. Anna Paulson, of Clermont.

Mr. Nelson was a kind husband and a loving father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
