Clayton County Register, Thur., 28 Nov. 1929. McGregor column.

Bert Goddard, a pioneer business man, died Thursday evening about 9 o'clock. His death came as a shock to relatives and friends, as he had been down town attending a business meeting and died a half hour after returning home. Surviving (several words blurred) Milton. Services were held from the home and interment was made at Pleasant Grove cemetery.
