Clayton County Register, Thur., 29 Aug. 1929. McGregor column.

Roger Mehrling (sic), son of Mr. and Mrs. George Mehrling, died at the McGregor hospital Monday afternoon after an operation for a ruptured appendix. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.

Roger Mehsling, 14 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Mehsling, died Monday, from gangrene appendicitis. An emergency operation last week failed to save his life.

Roger was in the seventh grade in public school where he was popular with his playmates. For six years he was in the Sunday school class of Mrs. Fred Widman.

He was born February 1, 1915. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the home.

Roger is survived by his parents and three brothers, Melvin, Oliver, and Walter; and one sister, Genevieve.
